BDS & Training

Business Development Services (BDS)

Our Business Development Services aim at building capacity of micro and small entrepreneurs. Those services target our beneficiaries/clients, and are provided at no cost. They start from the stage when the entrepreneur applies for a loan/aid. A team of experts studies with the entrepreneur his project elements, and assess needs in terms of location, equipment, raw material/stock, marketing efforts, and his skills and experience. Entrepreneurs are supported to have an exposure on the market, and are helped in building a simplistic Business Plan to launch a healthy operation. Till end of 2008, more than 1,800 enterprises have benefited from our Business Development Services.
95% of our beneficiaries/clients are running sustainable enterprises, knowing that more than 60% of them started new businesses upon receiving loans from PAWL. This high rate of success goes back to the BDS provided.

Training

In an effort to further build the capacity of micro and small entrepreneurs, PAWL provided to its beneficiaries/clients a series of training workshops, at no cost. In collaboration with Oxfam-Quebec, PAWL has developed a series of training workshops, designed and delivered to micro and small entrepreneurs. Topics are:
  • Book Keeping
  • Financial Management

  • How to Start and Run Your Business
  • Family Budgeting
PAWL had also designed and delivered other workshops. Topics are:

PAWL continues to provide this type of training for its beneficiaries/clients, and served other INGOs, namely Premiere Urgence – World Vision – Danish Refugee Council, to conduct such training for their beneficiaries.
